That Grows In Survival
This school is an experiment in the sustainability of an organization, addressing both material and non-material dimensions. It transcends traditional teacher-student roles, allowing anyone to assume both positions, as each person contributes unique knowledges. Envisioned as a garden of ideas, a laboratory of affection, an arena for conflict, and a space for the convergence of new ideas, this school explores what can be learned without predetermined boundaries. The goal is to learn collectively while questioning the essence of togetherness itself.
This program deliberately starts from the question, what is meant by improper education? We question the hierarchical teacher-student relationship. We question the pedagogy that standardizes the body and mind. We reimagine the curriculum that emphasizes utility. Is it enough to call ourselves an “alternative” to formal educational institutions? How to operate a learning system outside of school without reproducing forms of knowledge consumption typical of formal education?
