Putri Siswanto is an art & cultural worker. Her spectrum of work includes the independent arts manager, program coordinator, administrator, and also as videographer. She is actively involved in projects and programs management for arts communities and institutions in Indonesia and abroad. The recent art project she worked on was Pekan Kebudayaan Nasional (Indonesian Cultural Week), a major program by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
The repetition of work practices across multiple projects led Putri to recognize the myriad ethical challenges confronting art workers in the field. She harbors a deep concern for labor issues within the art sphere, particularly those often overlooked, such as invisible labors, intangible skills, employment opportunities, economic stability, and welfare. Motivated by her passion for addressing these concerns, Putri is presently enrolled in classes at the School of Counseling with the goal of becoming a certified counselor. Her aspiration is to utilize her counseling skills to provide support and lend a compassionate ear to fellow art workers, many of whom grapple with work-related anxiety and depression on a regular basis.
Aside from that, together with her art management collective after-hours care club, they have initiated a learning space to share knowledge and resources through capacity building programs, such as peer group discussions and skill-based workshops.
