Series of 2018 Solo Exhibition

This exhibition showcases the beginning of each artists search toward developing their SOLO EXHIBITION. Each and every work here is a beginining of a new journey. Jim Allen Abel’s disrupts the notion of grievance well as question the variety ways of dealing with loss in different societies through his familial encounter with deaths. Juli Sarisetiati is in seek of sustainable models of co-operating, working together, and commans in navigating precariarity through her long process of working with Indonesian migrant workers. M. Irfan observes changes within the nature, its resources and its people from allover Sumatra. His observation sporadicly connected him to a variety of people from different helds and unravels unravels a a new phase in in his artistic practice. Yuli Prayitno’s appropriated a late Qing Dynasty porcelain m a destructive manner and arrives to further questions on originary and technological aspects of mundane objects amongst the living society.

All the four projects to be developed have been through long phase of observation, field work, and experimentations on forms. Along this long and windy road, each artists have developed their own method of artistic research.
